Have some oppo and some of my thoughts. (this is the VDS/Multimatic fr500 gt3 Mustang at Spa-24h) This new '15 Mustang being a world car I'm sure will be raced, but boasting world design and world tech, Ford must do it right. It can't be privateer-only novelties, it should garner major factory support this time. After all if they are selling it globally, they can't do a lay-up and hope it scores the points. They will need to take it down town and dunk it, or in this world case, nutmeg the defender and chip it over the goalie's head firmly into the top corner of the goal.

This Mustang must show up as a player, and I can't wait to see it hit the track around the world.

I would love to see factory support for a major, major effort. I just don't see it happening.

That makes me sad.

Yeah. There's always back door support from manufacturers in tech and engineers via a competition department, we see that in the Corvette LeMans program, even when done by pratt&miller it's still well steered by Chevrolet, but ford has to really do something or else the privateers worldwide will give it a try and the results might make the world think it's a joke performer.
